Poet Hannah Rubin will give a poetry reading/photographic performance on Wed., Feb. 15 at the Milkweed Poetry Workshop. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the workshop begins at 7 p.m. at the Milkweed Gallery, located at 2 Romer’s Alley in Sugar Loaf.
Rubin, who runs the “Down In The Dark” poetry series in Oakland, CA, will read from her latest project, “Without Seeing A Finished House” (Common Objects Press), a multi-media poetry chapbook that investigates the psychic impact of advertising and construction sites on the creation of ‘self’ in the modern-day commons.
Milkweed Poetry Workshop welcomes anyone to drop in to hear poems/make poems/share poems. Featured poets are followed by open sharing. Refreshments are provided. A donation of $4 is appreciated.
