The Orange County Snow Tubing and Winter Sports Park is scheduled to open on Sat., Jan. 7, conditions and weather permitting. Thomas Bull Memorial Park is located on Rte. 416 in Montgomery, NY.
The 800-foot snow tubing hill features two cable lifts, groomed lanes, and specially-designed tubes built for an exciting ride. The fee is $15 for county residents for a 90-minute tubing session and $20 for non-county residents. Proof of residency is required at check-in. Tubers must meet a minimum height requirement of 42 inches.
The park also features an ice skating rink, a sledding hill, and cross-country ski trails. Visitors must provide their own equipment for these free activities which are available as conditions permit. Those interested in these activities should call ahead to see if they are open.
The Graham Skea Lodge, located at the crest of the tubing hill, offers beautiful views of the Hudson Valley and features a concession/restaurant and large stone fireplace, the perfect place for warming up and watching the tubers. Birthday party packages and youth group bookings are available.
