Polka king and Village of Florida resident Jimmy Sturr will do a live taping of “The Jimmy Sturr Show” at the historic Paramount Theatre, located at 17 South St. in Middletown. Appearing along with Sturr will be special guests and his 12-piece orchestra. The 18-time Grammy Award winner, accompanied by local officials, recently made the announcement at the 1,100 seat theatre.
The show will be filmed from Fri., Mar. 31 to Sun., Apr. 2. Sturr’s show airs weekly on the rural lifestyle network, RFD-TV, which can be seen on DirecTV and other carriers.
Sturr and his band will be joined by special guests including Jermaine Paul, a Harriman resident and winner of season two of the television singing contest, “The Voice,” and by several others.
