The annual Greenwood Lake Street Fair, sponsored by the Greenwood Lake Chamber of Commerce, opened at 11 a.m. on Sat., Jun. 10 to sunny skies. The fair featured a variety of food vendors and local businesses. Attendees had fun walking the streets, celebrating the town of Greenwood Lake and what its community has to offer.
The Rock Underground, located at 729 Jersey Ave. in Greenwood Lake, provided music with a band consisting of current students and instructors. Rock Underground is a music school that specializes in “CRED” – Cool Rock Ed. The band, Chemical Catastrophe, also performed during the day.
The Greenwood Lake Theater was there promoting their business by dressing up as characters from “The Wizard of Oz,” which they will be performing on Aug. 2 to 6 at the Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park in Greenwood Lake.
The Greenwood Lake Ambulance Corps had a table set up to provide information and to seek new volunteers. Members of the Warwick Playground Dreams committee set up a display outlining their future plans for Stanley-Deming Park in Warwick. Fresh roasted beans were available from the Greenwood Lake Roasters and the aroma filled the air.
There were so many vendors to see and so much family fun for all, once again proving that Greenwood Lake is a very special “place by the lake.”
