Another Applefest is upon us and while 30,000-35,000 people descend upon our Town, it is only for one day. This is an important day for all of our not-for-profit service organizations who in turn plough all the money back into our community, helping so many of our residents. So on Sun., Oct. 14, enjoy the day, visit our local vendors and celebrate the bounty of the harvest our great farms produce. Congratulations to all the organizers and EMS personnel who run this huge event and keep it safe. The day after, you would never know it existed – well done!
Apple season brings numerous visitors to our area farms and roadways. While this can present travel delays for many, it is a vital time to ensure the financial health of our farms, as well as our tourist economy. Hopefully, we can appreciate what all these visitors contribute and just enjoy the beauty and bounty of our stunning valley this fall.
