Our Town lost a good man in Robert Faulls. Rob was a husband, a father, a volunteer firefighter and an exceptional Town highway employee. There was no task too large or job too difficult for Rob to tackle or overcome. Several years ago when our highway barn caught fire Rob raced to the scene and quickly began moving our heavy equipment out of the burning building, saving the Town residents millions of dollars in the process, without any concern for himself. That’s just who he was. When the Town needed to fill our skating rink at the Pine Island Park every year Rob was always there with the Pine Island Fire Department pumper trunk. Rob spent countless hours teaching young people to love sports and competitions. He loved his job, his community and his family. Our community was made better by having Rob among us, and we will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with those he loved.
The New Year will soon be upon us. It is normally a time when we take stock of where we have been and ponder what is to come. It is a time to reflect and a time to dream. For some the prospects are exciting, for others a bit scary, but a time filled with hope for better things to come. It is also a time for resolutions, some we will keep, but some we will not. In Warwick, its Villages and Hamlets, we are blessed that our residents’ resolutions always include helping others, providing for those that struggle and being very generous whenever needed. It is a great place to call home! Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year to all!
