Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael P. Sweeton wrote the following in his column that was published in the Jan. 4 issue of the Warwick Valley Dispatch:
Brenda Faulls, Receiver of Taxes will be accepting online payments for the 2017 Orange County Town and County Real Property Tax Bills. There is a convenience fee that will be applied to this service and paid by the taxpayer to the payment processor. These fees are not included in the tax dollars paid to the collector.
The fees are as follows: Visa, MasterCard & Discover Credit Cards: 2.45% of the total tax, due at time of payment; Visa Debit Card: $3.95; and ACE (E-Check) Electronic Check: $1.75.
To pay online go to the Receiver of Taxes section of the Town website at www.townofwarwick.org, under Billing Status at the bottom of the page. If you have any questions, please contact the Tax Office at 986-1125, ext. 249.
You can still pay in person at Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway, Warwick, NY. Tax collection hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon. thru Fri. in Jan. and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon., Wed., and Fri. during Feb. & Mar.
Town Residents may bring their discarded Christmas trees next to the mulch pile on Public Works Dr. until Tues., Jan. 31.
The next regular meeting of the Town Board will be held on Thurs., Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Hwy., Warwick.
