The Orange County Citizens Foundation will hold its first, “Take to the Lake Day,” a family fun afternoon on Wickham Lake in Warwick, on Sat., Jun. 3 from 4 to 9 p.m. The rain date is Sun., Jun. 4. This event is sponsored by Stewart’s Shops and will be held at the Wickham Woodlands Park, located at State School Rd. in Warwick.
Town of Warwick Historian Dr. Richard Hull will share with the public some of his knowledge on the history of the park, the lake, and the Warwick area. A self-guided tour of Wickham Lake in self-paddle boats will follow.
Participants must bring their own watercraft to tour the lake. The event will end with a campfire and refreshments. The goal of the day is provide an opportunity to learn about some of the region’s history as well as enjoy a fun day at the park.
