While standing barefoot at the corner of South St. and Main St. in the Village of Warwick, on the morning of Tues., July. 25, Stephen King from the Bruderhof in Walden, NY, played folk songs on his trumpet.
King was in the Village of Warwick waiting for friends who had appointments. He decided to play songs on his trumpet to give a lift to those who felt discouraged and to cheer people up.
“Music is about life, love, joy, God and nature,” said King about the music he chooses to share with others. “It is opposed to the spirit of the time, which is about power and money. It’s about have meaningful relationships with people as opposed to virtual relationships.”
Several people walking by listened to King play his trumpet and felt joy in their hearts. Many also had huge smiles on their faces.
