The Warwick, NY Parents Facebook Group held their first annual Trunk or Treat event on Sat., Oct. 29 at the Warwick Valley Middle School. The event cost was $5 per car and all the proceeds benefited the Warwick Valley Humane Society. Prizes were awarded to the best children’s costumes and decorated vehicle trunks.
The fun kicked off with a Halloween Parade followed by Trunk or Treat festivities. Some of the cars participated in the teal pumpkin project which handed out edible treats for children with severe food allergies. The Warwick Police Department was on board, keeping things safe during the event. Sgt. Ed Mullins offered children a turn to spin a wheel of chance to win a variety of goodies. Over $500 was raised for the Humane Society at the end of the event.
