The Annual Faculty Basketball Ultamania Game on Fri., Mar. 3 that was held in the Warwick High School gymnasium was a huge success. Over $4,000 was collected to support Lion’s Club Projects and the Warwick Valley Teachers Association Scholarships. The game was won by the high school faculty, 58–55 and leading scorers were Dr. Larry Washington (WVHS Principal) and Middle School Psychologist Deb Girardi. Proceeds from the concession stand were donated by the high school physical education staff to upgrade the high school fitness center.
Foul Shooting School Champions
During halftime, Warwick students participated in a foul shooting competition. Winners for the girls’ foul shot competition from Park Avenue Elementary were: fourth grader Gianna Crescimanno, fourth grader Kayla Sit, and fourth grader Samantha Calise; from Sanfordville Elementary: fourth grader Kaitlyn Larney, fourth grader Abby Hoye, and fourth grader Eva Garafolo. Winners from the Warwick Middle School were: fifth and sixth grade students Natalie Evans, Erin Smith, Christie Sass, Molly McCleary, Julia Singh, and Lily Bailey.
Foul shot winners for the boys from Park Avenue were: fourth graders Jerry Bolick, Aidan Corbalis and Brody Frederick; from Sanfordville: fourth graders Zach Kantor, Joe Finn, Mohammad Najafipour, and Jeff Shi. Winners from the Warwick Middle school were: fifth and sixth graders Graydon Stella, Jack Mansolillo, Devin Mann, Justin Oehlmann, Owen Hoyen, and Josiah Jones.
