The Village of Warwick Planning Board met for a brief meeting on Thurs., Aug. 23 to discuss updates to the Village View Subdivision Project’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS). Kirk Rother, the engineer representing applicant Robert Silber, took questions from the Board during the meeting regarding the projects status as it nears its conversion from a draft to becoming a Final Environmental Statement (FEIS).
The only major change following the questioning will be Rother’s submission of the engineering for the affordable housing in the lot, which will include the plans for the sewage and electrical lines for the houses on top of what has already been submitted. The application currently has plans for both the inclusion and the exclusion of the affordable housing.
The Planning Board approved the extension of the public hearing until Thurs., Sept. 20 to give Rother time to address comments on the project that he recently received from the Village Mayor, as well as the Planning Board of Orange County.
Rother will address all written and oral comments from the public as well as from any government bodies in the projects FEIS. Members of the community can still submit written comments on the project to the Warwick Village Planning board.
The Village Planning Board will hold their next meeting on Thurs., Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, located at 77 Main St. in Warwick.
