Ride along with Alan Held as he explores the history of the Lehigh and Hudson River Railway in the towns of Warwick and Chester on Tues., Sept. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Albert Wisner Public Library, located at 1 McFarland Dr. in Warwick.
Using the software of train simulator “Trainz,” Held has created a replica of the L&H as it would have looked like in the 1930s including track, buildings, and topography. The presentation will include a ride on the virtual route as well as historic photographs, maps, and a demonstration on how the route was made. Rail fans, historians, and the general public are welcome to attend.
Held is a 2013 graduate of Warwick Valley H.S. and a 2017 graduate of Cornell University. This free program is open to all area adults, teens, and attentive older children. To register call 986-1047, opt. 3 or visit www.albertwisnerlibrary.org.
