Voters in the Greenwood Lake School District approved two propositions on Tues., Nov. 29 for the District’s Capital Projects.
In proposition one, voters authorized the expenditure of $5,000,000 from the District-wide Renovations, Reconstruction and Improvements to Buildings and Facilities and School Bus Purchase Capital Reserve Fund for building improvements and the purchase of buses. Also included in this proposition are repairs for the middle and elementary schools. The unofficial results are 295 “yes” votes and 127 “no” votes.
In proposition two, voters approved renovations at the elementary school cafeteria at a maximum estimated cost of $2,057,961. The money will be raised from the levy of a tax. The unofficial results are 249 “yes” votes and 173 “no” votes.
