The historic Warwick Cemetery is located off Rte. 94, just south of the Village of Warwick. In 2015, the Warwick Cemetery Association erected a Cremation Garden to create memorial options for those who chose cremation rather than a burial. They have created a beautiful place for remembrance for those who call this beautiful rural community “home.” The Association encourages everyone to come and visit the garden, which is set on a rise amongst magnificent trees. Visitors will enjoy views of both the older and newer sections of the cemetery, as well as the surrounding hills and countryside.
A dedication and open house will be held on Thurs., May 25 at 4 p.m. The Cremation Garden offers various options for memorialization. The columbarium installations provide niche spaces for both individuals and families. There are several granite benches and other classically elegant monuments to choose from. For those who wish to have their remains returned to the earth, there is a plot of river rocks for scattering. A tasteful bronze memorial tree beside the scattering area provides spaces for inscribing names.
