Everyone who lives or works in the Town of Warwick is invited to attend any of the four Community Voices Workshops to be held in November and December. All voices are needed to help imagine how the people of the Warwick Valley want their community to look and function in the next twenty years.
“We’ve named this visioning project TOGETHER to point out the unifying nature of meetings that will draw together the people from all the sections of our town,” said Geoff Howard, Steering Committee Co-Chair. “The Town and the three Villages of Warwick chose Community 2000 to spearhead this effort to bring together and hear the excellent ideas we know are hidden out there in the community.”
A town-wide survey was conducted recently, garnering responses from 1,784 residents, and it is those results that will start the conversations in each of the four workshops. Trained facilitators will guide the process to effectively elicit further and specific suggestions from the attendees.
The Community Voices Workshops will be held on Mon., Nov. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warwick Valley Middle School Cafeteria, located at 225 West St. in Warwick; Tues., Nov. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Greenwood Lake Middle School Cafeteria, located at 1247 Lakes Rd. in Monroe; Thurs., Nov. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Florida Senior Center, located on Cohen Cir. in the Village of Florida; and on Mon., Dec. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warwick Valley Middle School Cafeteria.
