The Warwick Fire Department (WFD) reports that for the year to date they have responded to 158 calls for service.
For the period from Mon., Apr. 9 to Mon., Apr. 16, the department responded to two barbecue grill fires, one commercial fire alarm activation, one suspicious odor investigation, one complaint of an illegal burn of construction materials, and one mutual aid call from the Greenwood Lake Fire Department for the Warwick ladder truck for a residential house fire.
The WFD held its monthly extrication drill on Thurs., Apr. 12 at the Warwick Valley Central School District bus and maintenance garage. Members did a walk through of the facility to familiarize themselves with the types of buses the District uses, how they are constructed and how they operate. This walk through gave WFD members a better understanding of how they would respond during an incident at the facility. WFD extends their thanks to the Warwick Valley Central School District and their transportation department.
