Over the past week the Warwick Fire Department (WFD) responded to multiple calls for service including downed wires with trees involved, causing very hazardous conditions for residents. Thanks to the Warwick Police Dispatchers and Police Officers who assisted us during the storm, including firefighters and fire police.
This week the Warwick Ambulance Corps celebrates Emergency Medical Services Week. The Warwick Fire Department thanks them for their continued dedication and service to the Town of Warwick residents and for always being there for the Warwick Fire Department.
The WFD reports that for the year to date they have responded to 208 calls for service.
For the period from Mon., May 14 to Mon., May 21, not including all the calls from the storm, the Department responded to three residential automatic fire alarms, two commercial fire alarm activations and two possible structure fires contributed to a possible oven on fire in a residence and an electrical appliance in an assisted living complex.
