Looking to meet new friends, be part of a great team and have fun, while giving back to the community? Gain a unique perspective on Warwick’s rich history as a volunteer at the Warwick Historical Society (WHS). WHS volunteers make new friends, gain a wealth of knowledge, attend special programs, and provide essential support for the mission of the Warwick Historical Society.
The Society offers numerous and diverse opportunities that complement each individual’s interests and talents. Some of the currently available volunteer opportunities include archaeological digs, clothing and textiles, archives, historic tours, and events and marketing. For those who have a special interest or skill that does not fall into one of the categories, the Society will be sure to do their best to fit everyone’s needs.
The Society will hold a volunteer training session for those interested in guiding tours. On Sun., May 7 at 3 p.m., the Society will hold a Volunteer Appreciation/Recruitment Day in Lewis Park on Main St. in Warwick. Light refreshments will be served and anyone interested in volunteering can learn about the opportunities available. Reservations are not required but would be greatly appreciated.
