The Town of Warwick Police Department seized 67 bags of heroin on Mon., Jun. 18 during a traffic stop.
William Mauriello, of Warwick, 32, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a felony. He was also charged with Criminal Possession of Hypodermic Instrument, a misdemeanor.
Mauriello’s girlfriend, Corinna Predmore, 28, from Pine Island, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th degree – both misdemeanors.
Victor Diaz, 42, of Warwick, was charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th degree and Criminal Facilitation 4th degree – both misdemeanors. He was also charged with DWAI by drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle for driving with a suspended license as well as with several vehicle and traffic violations.
Town Justice Peter Barlet remanded Mauriello to the Orange County Jail on no bail due to prior felony convictions. Due to an active bench warrant in the Town of Newburg, Predmore was released to the Town of Newburgh Police Department. Diaz was released on his own recognizance.
