On Sat., Dec, 2, at approximately 12:30 a.m. the Town of Warwick Police Department received a report of an individual who arrived at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick with multiple stab wounds.
After interviewing the victim, police officers learned that the victim, Hernan Hernandez, 21, of Warwick, was involved in an altercation at 153 State Rte. 94 S. in Warwick. During the course of this altercation the victim received several stab wounds to his upper torso and hands. Hernandez was treated and released by St. Anthony Community Hospital.
In addition to being assaulted, the victim also had his cell phone stolen by the suspect during the altercation and approximately $300 worth of marihuana.
As a result of an investigation by Warwick Detective’s with the assistance of the NY State Police, Haverstraw PD and the Village of Monroe PD, Warwick Police have charged Joshua A Zuberbanks, 19, of Haverstraw, NY with Robbery in the First Degree and Assault in the First Degree.
Zuberbanks was arraigned by Warwick Town Justice Peter Barlet and was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
