The Orange County Community Development Office announces that the 2017 municipal grants have been awarded. Among the grants awarded are $50,000 to Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center; $60,346 to the Village of Warwick for the sidewalk and curb on High St.; $75,000 to the Village of Florida for water main replacement on Scanlon Ave.; and $50,000 to the Village of Greenwood Lake for ADA park improvements to the walking trail.
“This funding will allow critical infrastructure projects to move forward in a variety of our communities,” said Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus. “Projects such as these are often a drain on already strained local budgets.”
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program enables states and local governments to undertake a wide variety of activities intended to create suitable living environments, provide affordable housing and generate economic opportunities.
