The first major snowfall of 2018, named Winter Storm Grayson, hit the northeast on Thurs., Jan. 4 and brought snowfall accumulations in the Warwick area of five to eight inches. The rapidly falling snow and dangerous driving conditions forced local schools and many businesses to close. Extremely dangerous wind chills for the area are expected through the weekend.
