WTBQ Radio in Warwick recently sponsored a drive to collect back to school supplies for the Backpack Snack Attack program. The drive was a resounding success and will benefit all the children who would not have been able to afford even a pad and pencil.
One of the station’s loyal listeners was compelled to make an incredibly generous donation with a request for anonymity. She donated a check in the amount of $1,500 to Backpack Snack Attack. Shirley Puett, the Director of the Program, along with Frank Truatt and Taylor Sterling of WTBQ radio, would like to thank everyone who generously donated.
A special thanks goes to the owners of the drop off locations including: Lisa from Flowers by Lisa in Pine Island, Deb and Maureen Major of Zylofone, Beth Mindes and Linda Martini of the Child Care Counsel of Orange County, Amanda Dana of the Orange County Partnership, and Noble Roasters, among so many others.
