WTBQ to Partner with Backpack Snack Attack
WTBQ Radio is partnering with the Backpack Snack Attack program in Warwick, a non-profit organization that provides food for hungry school children of every age and grade level so they may have food to eat at home every weekend, when school meals are not available. These children and their families do not have enough funds to purchase back to school supplies so Backpack Snack Attack and WTBQ are asking people to buy one extra school supply between now and Mon., Aug. 7 so they can add these items to the first back packs distributed in the fall. Donations can be dropped off at the WTBQ offices, located at 179 Sanfordville Rd. in Warwick.
For more information send an email to Taylor Sterling, the WTBQ station manager, at Taylor@wtbq.com. Make a difference and teach your children how important it is to share with those less fortunate.
