In honor of the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Amity Foundation for Healing with Horses will hold a yard sale on Sat., Sept. 10 and Sun., Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 44 Amity Rd. in Warwick. All proceeds will benefit a special clinic for first responders affected by trauma. The clinic will be conducted at a future date at no cost to first responders. The Amity Foundation offers equine-assisted therapy to people who have experienced trauma from Veterans to PTSD to sexual abuse survivors with recurrent memories. The Foundation was co-founded by Corey DeMala, a licensed mental health counselor and Christine Dykshoorn, an equine care and training specialist.
