Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior basketball player Harsev Singh as this weeks’ Bill Garcia Agency Allstate Student–Athlete of the Week.
Harsev plays guard for the Warwick basketball team and has been a key contributor to the Cats’ three wins over Valley Central, Chester, and Minisink. Harsev has played baseball and is considering coming out for the tennis team this spring. Harsev is in the process of creating a non–profit organization called “Students Helping Hands,” targeting student involvement in aiding the elderly.
Harsev carried a 102.5-weighted average this past quarter and has an overall average of 99.3 for his high school career. His commitment to academics has afforded him many options next year and he plans to study a pre–medicine track and become a doctor of orthopedics.
Harsev is the president of the National Honor Society, a member of Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band, and he has served on the Student Senate and the Model United Nations program. His class load includes AP Calculus, AP Literature, AP Physics. AP Physical Education, and Chinese 5.
Harsev is the son of Sandy and Dr. Sandeep Singh of Warwick. His sister, Gursimar, is a freshman at Syracuse University and his brother, Tegh, is a sophomore at Warwick High School.
