Warwick Football improved to 3–0 with a sound 33–7 victory over FDR at Warwick’s Homecoming Game on Sat., Sept. 15. Quarterback Joe Miller was awarded the game ball at the Homecoming Dance for an outstanding performance, which included three touchdown passes.
Gregory Sirico had two touchdown receptions and Anthony McGee had one in the air assault. Kyle Rooney scored an 80-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Warwick’s defensive back, Jordan Pinskey, intercepted the FDR quarterback for a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown. Matt Meade capped the scoring with three extra point conversions.
The Warwick defense played an outstanding game led by Rob Maslanka, who tallied 12 total tackles. Grant Dolshun contributed eight tackles, and Devin Boone and Dean Dulgerian each tallied seven total tackles. The game saw a great job by kick–off specialist Percy Torres with six kick–offs totaling 300 yards. The Wildcats will travel to the Cornwall Middle school on Fri., Sept. 21 for a 7 p.m. kick-off.
