Warwick’s athletic teams had a successful week. Now halfway through April, the season is going by quickly and the athletes are not disappointing the fans.
The girls’ lacrosse went up against Goshen on Mon., Apr. 9 and Natalie Daigle led her team to victory with two goals and two assists. The final score was 4-7 in this non-league game. The team went up against Washingtonville on Thurs., Apr. 12 and won a Division 2 game with a final score of 12-2.
The boys’ baseball team played Port Jervis in a non-league game on Thurs., Apr. 12 and Jack Leahy struck out seven players. The final score was 5-4.
The girls’ softball team played Port Jervis, also a non-league game, on Mon., Apr. 9 and Brittany Tagg hit two home runs. The final score was 12-7. The team won against Minisink on Thurs., Apr. 12 in an 11-inning game with a final score of 2-0.
The boys’ lacrosse team played a great game against Valley Central on Wed., Apr. 11, scooping up a Division 2 win. Sophomore Kenton Mears scored three goals for his team, aiding with three assists as well. Senior Eric Ormsby landed five goals for Warwick, leaving the game with a 13-7 win for the Wildcats.
