Warwick EMS Fields 141 Calls in November

      The Warwick Community Ambulance Service fielded 141 calls, two standbys, and worked 300 hours in the month of November.

      For the month of November, they responded to the following calls: 39 for general illness; 28 for falls; 14 for respiratory distress; 10 for an unresponsive person; eight for pain or injury; six each for seizures, cardiac, and altered mental status; four each for stroke, refused medical treatment, and transfers; and three each for Diabetic, motor vehicle incidents, assaults and other.

     Standbys included the Sept. 11 Ceremony, and a fire on Main St. in Warwick.

     For the year, EMS has responded to 1,543 calls and worked 59 standbys, totaling 2,398 hours.
