Have you visited the New York Renaissance Faire this year? If you have, you may have seen our Deputy Sheriffs there as well!
Each year, thousands of visitors travel to Tuxedo, New York, to experience the New York Renaissance Faire. From August to October, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office works with the New York State Police and the Tuxedo Police Department to ensure visitors and participants stay safe and the event runs smoothly. The Sheriff’s Deputies are assigned to help keep a safe and organized environment both on the fairgrounds and nearby areas, including parking and recreational zones. Deputies help coordinate efforts so guests can enjoy the festivities securely while reducing the strain on local resources.
Sheriff Arteta expressed his appreciation for the partnership, noting that the Faire draws tens of thousands of visitors each season and requires an organized, collaborative approach to public safety. “The Renaissance Faire is a part of Orange County,” said Sheriff Arteta. “Our deputies are proud to support this event and the Town of Tuxedo by helping ensure that families can enjoy the experience safely each weekend.”
