Did you know, our 9th annual FORE THE ANIMALS golf outing at the exclusive Golf Club at Mansion Ridge in Monroe, New York was a very successful fundraiser for our organization?

Due to the wonderful support of all of our sponsors and golfers, a good time was had by all. It was a relatively cool, overcast day that the golfers truly enjoyed. No hot sun, no rain or drizzle. It is a challenging and beautiful member only course that welcomes the opportunity to host our Society for this event for the animals.
Raising much needed funds for the shelter would not have been possible without those who contributed through our sponsorship levels beginning with Devon Management, the Awesome Pawsome Partner for the golf carts. Our Bone ApPate Luncheon sponsors were Country Willow Veterinary Hospital, Devon Management and Luca Trattoria-Pizzeria. There is a hot dog hut on the turn with NorthEastern Martial Arts Academy, Reel Interventions and Mr. Michael Mahon Esq., our Hot Diggity Dog sponsors. The roaming beverage cart we call The Catnip Cart was sponsored by The Landmark Inn, The Waitze Family and Owen McShane, DDS.
Gifts for our auction were donated by LaViano Jewelers, Riehle Opticians, Peck’s Wine & Spirtis, Frazzelberries, Keller Williams Realty, Etched in Time, Barrel 28, Warwick Valley Country Club, Crystal Springs Golf Resort, and The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge.
Tee sponsors had their names displayed on the greens throughout the course and they were
Ecotect Scientific Pest Elimination, Vander Platt Tree Company, Country Saab of Orange County, Fine Line Hair Salon, Wadeson’s Home Center, Hudson Valley Earthworks, Allstate Insurance, Homestead Funding Corp., Halligan’s Public House, Kimberly A. Corkum- Realtor,
Pine Island Bagel, Walter Ross-Better Homes Green Team, and Manno Farm.
Our Puttin’ Pawlooza was an added chance at hitting a bottle of donated wine, liquor or beer with a long putt which several golfers succeeded in winning. Black Bear Wine & Spirits, B&R Wine & Spirits, Pine Island Wine & Liquor and ShopRite of Warwick were our Puttin’ Pawlooza donors.
On behalf of our organization, I extend our thanks to all who donated and to all who participated in the FORE THE ANIMALS outing. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help with the daily care of our over 200 animals at the shelter for a bit.
Fundraising is a necessary staple for not for profits who must rely on donations to help meet expenses and keep doors open to those in need. Being a small organization with only 8 Board of Directors, makes fundraising a challenge to participate when invited to outside events and also to hold large scale events. We are so grateful to those who fundraise on our behalf from lemonade stands to supply drives to memorial contributions and more. It may seem that we always have our hand out but if the paws could do it, we’d let them. Instead we do it for them. Because all of the shelter animals deserve to be loved and cared for “until they each find a home”.
