Sheriff-Photo-2--e1708695452816 “Success Map Initiative” for Orange County JailThe Orange County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the Success Map Initiative at the Orange County Jail. The Success Map Initiative is a short-term program designed to provide meaningful opportunities for incarcerated individuals to develop financial literacy and achieve success upon their return to the workforce.

The initiative, led by Success Map founder Trent Griffin-Braaf, offers a four-week business boot camp that combines eight hours of formal instruction with a 40-hour structured workweek for participants. Open to all incarcerated individuals, the program focuses on building financial literacy, setting personal and financial goals, developing leadership skills, and preparing participants to re-enter the workforce with the skills necessary for success.

By teaching practical skills such as budgeting, goal setting, and career readiness, Success Map helps participants establish a foundation for stability after release. By providing structured educational and vocational training, we aim to reduce the likelihood of reoffending while giving individuals a sense of purpose and direction.

Thanks to the work of Captain Torres, who has been overseeing the program’s implementation over the past several months, we anticipate that this initiative will go live before the end of 2025.

The Success Map Initiative demonstrates the Sheriff’s Office’s broader commitment to rehabilitation and public safety. By funding short-term, high-impact programs, Orange County is helping ensure that individuals leave jail better equipped to contribute positively to society, ultimately building stronger, safer communities for everyone.
