On Saturday, March 7 Boy Scout Troop 45 of Warwick held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Alexander Rodrigues, Eugene Cummings, and Kyle Bolich were the three members being honored to Eagle Scout. This is the highest rank attainable by the Boy Scouts.

Alexander’s project involved cleaning up a hiking trail at Mountain Lake Park in Warwick, where he built benches and cleared a view of the lake.

Eugene built a kayak and canoe storage rack at Mountain Lake Park in Warwick for his project. His hopes were that people would have access to the lake and better fishing spots.

Kyle Bolich constructed four picnic tables and four gun racks for public use by the Warwick community and beyond for his project, and he also painted and weatherproofed the fences at the field where his project took place.

Assemblyman Karl Brabenec, Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard, and Warwick Chief of Police John Rader were some of the speakers. Many were in attendance from the community to support the eagle scouts.

Toward the end of the ceremony, Warwick Valley VFW Post 4662 CDR Jose Morales presented each eagle Scout with a framed Certificate of Recognition. Lunch was served after the ceremony.
