As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Nation on July 4th, we find ourselves in a national debate over the path forward. While this debate is healthy, let us not lose sight of the fact that we live in the land of liberty, freedom, and the most prosperous Nation that has ever existed. Are there problems, inequities and challenges? Certainly there are. However, this is still a country of people that solve problems and make life better for future generations of Americans. The simple concept of “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” still guides us as a nation which makes us unique among all nations. Have a wonderful, safe and happy 4th of July!
