The Warwick area’s first Alternative Gift Market, Sustaining Grace, will be held on Sat., Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Blue Arrow Farm, located at 86 Glenwood Rd. in Pine Island.
The Market will offer traditional and non-traditional gifts while supporting those in need in the local and international communities. Shoppers will be able to purchase gift donations to various organizations and honor loved ones by purchasing meaningful gifts that keep on giving.
At the market, shoppers will have the opportunity to buy from the Sharing Foundation’s Sewing Project in Cambodia, which offers crafts and handmade purses and silk scarves from the Cambodian market. Mayamam Weavers from Guatemala will be on hand. They create rich colors and patterns in hand-woven accessories for modern living, including scarves, travel bags and men’s belts.
Also on site will be Heifer International, which supports animals and their gifts internationally; a donation to this important organization can serve as an alternative to material gifts. Garden of Life, a local Massage & Yoga Center will offer Fair Trade ornaments and accessories from around the globe. Y’All will be selling prints to raise funds to eliminate sex trafficking in Asia. Northwestern New Jersey’s Luna Parc Atelier Foundation, founded by mad-cap mastermind Ricky Boscarina, will offer apprentice’s vocational, business and life skills that will enable them to succeed as self-supporting artists.
