Village of Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard has issued the following press release about the blue line on Railroad Ave.:
“Over the past few days the Mayor’s Office has had meetings with the various groups involved with pro-line and anti-line movements. The meetings have covered the many issues that surround the topic and have evolved to joint meetings of the two sides. Coming together we have created a platform for sharing vital information on perceptions of the meanings of the Blue line and its relevance to community members. This information will be brought to the Village Board’s attention and with a hope for next steps. We are pleased that we have been able to facilitate the coming together of the two sides with the help of citizen’s participation in the form of mediation.”
A work session on the blue line will be held on Mon., Dec. 12 at 11:30 a.m. in Village Hall, located at 77 Main St., Warwick. The public may attend and listen to the Board of Trustees as they have a discussion on the topic. No public comment is allowed during the work session.
