Beginning at 9 a.m. on Mon., Jun. 24, the summer program registration begins at the Greenwood Lake Public Library, located at 79 Waterstone Rd. in Greenwood Lake.
As far as the programs themselves, Thurs., July 12 will feature Francine Evans and Joel Zelnick who will present “This Is My Country: A Celebration of American Music” from 7 to 8 p.m. with songs from Irving Berlin, Woody Guthrie and Elton John.
Lecturer/Author Evan Weiner will discuss the events of “1969: Fifty Years Later” on Thurs., Jul. 18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. “Roses, roses, roses!” with horticulturist Jane Barba is scheduled for Thurs., Jul. 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Chair Yoga will be held on Mondays with Sara Gallmann on Jul. 1, Jul. 8, Jul. 15, Jul. 22 and Jul. 29 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. The Nights of Needlework club will continue to meet the first and third Tuesdays of the month throughout the summer, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Rounding out programming will be a three session Stained Glass Workshop on Mondays – Jul. 8, Jul. 15 and Jul. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m., where participants learn about the different types of stained glass, how they are used, followed by designing and assembling. There will be a $20 non-refundable fee/payable/signed waivers upon registration. Glass size is restricted to 120 sq. in., or may be subject to additional fees.
