The Greenwood Lake Public Library, located at 79 Waterstone Rd. in Greenwood Lake begins a Wednesday Craft Night in August in the library’s Youth Study Center (YA Room). The Center is intended to be a safe and fun place to hang out, talk quietly, eat snacks, watch a movie, or enjoy a board game. On Craft Nights, participants can create items such as bead bracelets, acrylic paintings, calendar wreaths, picture frames, and wooden bead necklaces. Sessions will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 7, 14 and 28 (no session on Aug. 21).
The Youth Study Center is open to G.L. residents who are entering fifth grade and have a valid library card. New participants are asked to fill out a Youth Study Center Rules and Agreement form. A letter is sent home to the family to confirm registration. A computer policies form is also requested from the parent to confirm that parents give permission for their child to have computer and internet use. (These forms are available at the library).
