First responders, including New York State Police, Warwick Police, Warwick Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services, answered the report of an accident at the intersection of Distillery Rd. and Pine Island Tpke. on Monday morning, Jan. 29.
Shortly before 8:40 a.m. a motorist, traveling west on Pine Island Tpke., reported a three-car accident to Warwick Police. Subsequent investigation by authorities suggests only two cars were involved.
Hannah Worobok, of Milford, PA, was driving eastbound on Pine Island Tpke. in a Subaru BRZ sedan. A white Toyota RAV4, operated by Tina DeGaetano-Conneally, of Warwick, was traveling south on Distillery Rd. An accident ensued when the two cars collided in the intersection.
DeGaetano-Conneally’s automobile received front end damage while Worobok’s vehicle sustained driver’s side damage and overturned. Both cars were towed from the scene. Neither Worobok nor DeGaetano-Conneally had been cited at the time of the accident, although the investigation is on-going.
Both witnesses and first responders on the scene confirmed that both Worobok and Conneally were conscious after the accident. However, Worobok was transported by ambulance to St. Anthony Community Hospital for observation.
