The Friends of Hathorn Living History Group is sponsoring a colonial cooking learning project from November to January that will culminate in a “tasting” event on Sun., Jan. 20 from 1:45 to 3:30 p.m. at the Warwick Senior Center, located at 132 Kings Hwy in Warwick.
For those who are curious about the foodways of the past and how they stack up to today’s yummies, join the fun by picking out an authentic recipe to make and bring from a period cookbook or an “as nearly as I can” adaptation.
There will be an organizational meeting on Mon., Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center. There are period cookbooks available for free online, or sample the Townsends video channel on YouTube. All are welcome to participate. To sign-up or for more information send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
