Climate change is impacting the way everyone does gardening. Come to the Albert Wisner Public Library, located at 1 McFarland Dr. in Warwick NY, on Sat., Mar. 24 at 12:30 p.m. to learn how to adapt a garden for this phenomenon.
Organic gardener Gar Wang will present different techniques for managing the adverse effects of climate change. She will share her experiments in dealing with extreme heat, erratic rainfall and damaging winds. Alternative solutions from ancient and distant cultures will also be discussed.
Since 1985, Gar’s organic gardens in Warwick have provided food for her family and friends throughout the year. She has written and lectured extensively on organic gardening and sustainable practices in the Hudson Valley.
