The Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning (WFEL) recently held its fifth annual Kick Ball Tournament to benefit the students and teachers of the Warwick Valley Central School District. The event, which raised nearly $2,000 dollars for the foundation’s Mini Grant Program, was a tremendous success.
Seven teams and approximately 100 players came out to play in the single elimination tournament which culminated in a final round between the Dropkick Meeney’s and the Fire Balls.
“On behalf of the WFEL board we congratulate the winners of this year’s tournament: The Dropkick Meeney’s (who took home the trophy),” said Vanessa Holland, the Chair of WFEL. “We would also like to thank all of the participants and volunteers, especially Keith Parcons, Kristen Schulze and Greg Sirico and our sponsors, Annie Rabbitt for NYS Senate, Berkeley College Online, Custom Tailoring by Eglie, Dean Diltz Realtor for the Green, Halligans Public House, Missy’s Magical Wishes Travel, The Computer Guy, The Rock Underground, and Vikki.”
