The Albert Wisner Public Library, located at 1 McFarland Dr. in Warwick, will present The Neverland Plays by local playwright Sydney Helen Egan on Fri., Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room.
The Neverland Plays is a trilogy play following Peter Pan as he journeys through different parts of growing up that are more difficult to endure. However, with the help pf his new friend, Jane, he is able to overcome many obstacles.
While this play is based on JM Barrie’s story, it has some mature themes that the playwright feels should be explored. These themes include mental health, grief, love, change, and more. The play stars Sydney Helen Egan (Jane), Ian Dominguez-Ball (Peter Pan), Haley Gould (Tink, Sylvia, Mrs. Walker), Margaret DeLucia (Slightly, John, Olivia), Hayley St. James (Nibs, George, Mary), Jennifer Ann Ruskowski (Don’t Ask, Michael, Molly), and other college students.
Sydney Helen Egan was born and raised in Warwick NY. She graduated from Warwick Valley High School in 2016 and is currently studying playwriting at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, which is where she began writing The Neverland Plays.
