There was plenty of joie de vivre as residents of Schervier Pavilion, a skilled nursing facility on the Warwick NY Campus of Bon Secours Charity Health System, celebrated “April in Paris” with a party and a special musical treat.
Residents had an opportunity to enjoy refreshments including French cream puffs but the highlight of the afternoon was a very special musical treat, a one woman and one hour cabaret show by professional singer and entertainer Stephanie Romm.
During the performance she wowed her audience with songs from the 1930s to the 80s including Broadway hits like “All that Jazz’ from Chicago, “Cabaret,” and the old songs from Judy Garland and others in that era, familiar to the residents.
As evidenced by lots of applause, Romm thrilled her audience with an interactive program, complete with a splash of comedy, charm, and sparkly gown, top hat and boa. She took the residents on a 75-year musical journey and many joined her in singing those timeless favorites.
