The Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, located at 240 Main St. in Goshen, NY, will host two family events on Sun., Jun. 16. Starting at 11:30 a.m., the track will celebrate the service of the men and women who keep communities safe and secure, offering comfort and aid 24/7, regardless of the time of day, weather or emergency. A highlight will be a First Responders Exhibition Race with department heads facing off in a horse race!
The event will offer live music, barbecue style food, face painting, raffles, ice cream, a bouncy house, a Kids Safe program, multiple State Police demonstrations. A SWAT demonstration, and more. Admission is free.
2019 Matinee Harness Racing
The historic track’s 109th racing season will kick off at 1 p.m. Established in 1838, the Goshen Historic Track is the oldest active harness racing track in the world. It is the pride of Orange County and is universally celebrated as “The Cradle of the Trotter.”
