On Sat., May 11, the Greenwood Lake Public Library is happy to welcome educator Bob Barlow for two diverse programs at the library located at 79 Waterstone Rd. in Greenwood Lake.
The first program, Write and Sing a Song of Spring with Bob Barlow!, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., for ages four to nine, gives participants a chance to learn prime elements of songwriting and perform an original song. All children ages seven and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The second program, Breathe and Let Go: An Introduction to Meditation and Mindfulness, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., for ages eight to 14, will teach the basics as well as equip participants with easy-to-use techniques designed to tame anxiety and depression.
Bob Barlow is an award-winning educator and nationally published author, During his decades-long elementary school teaching career, Bob and his students regularly co-wrote songs about social studies, literature, science and math. Bob’s original songs have received airplay on hundreds of radio stations around the world and he has played alongside some of the world’s top musicians.
