This past weekend, Greenwood Lake did what we do best – had fun and supported great causes. The annual event, “Greenwood Lake Gives Back,” raised nearly $2,000 for the food pantry and delivered truckloads of food. Joe and Maureen Anthony, of the Irish Whisper, ran a “Santa Pub Crawl,” which not only supported many of our local businesses but also raised money to support the Teen Center and the Senior Citizens Center.
The most unique event was surely “Santapalooza.” Jersey Paddle Board owner Micki Lees coordinated over 70 Santas who went out on the lake on paddleboards and kayaks. These frigid Santas raised money and food for our local food pantry.
Stay tuned for announcements of more exciting winter events coming up, including the Winter Carnival and the second annual Winter Classic Hockey Tournament!
