This past week we were reminded of the safety hazards associated with winters in New York. With only a few inches of snow we saw more accidents on our mountains and in the area than ever before. State plow trucks were involved in motor vehicle accidents on the mountain while trying to plow. Road conditions were extremely dangerous as the brunt of the storm came during the evening commute. Knowing not everyone can take off work during each storm, I can only emphasize the importance of leaving plenty of time and choosing alternate routes when possible during snow events.
On behalf of the Village Board and all staff in the Village of Greenwood Lake, we would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving spent with friends and family!
