Story by Katie Bisaro
At the Village of Warwick Board of Trustees meeting on Tues., May 1, permission was granted to the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick to hold an Antique Tractor Parade on Sat., May 12 in the Village.
After some discussion of the details, it was decided to have the parade stage and step off from Campbell Rd. onto Oakland Ave. rather than from the area near Warwick Valley Country Club. This will help with traffic flow from the light at Galloway Rd.
Line-up for the parade will be at 9:15 a.m. and will step off at 10 a.m. The parade will proceed down Oakland Ave., continue onto Main St., turn right onto Colonial Ave. (Kings Hwy.) and then turn right onto Forester Ave. The parade will end at the A.W. Buckbee Center.

Joint Public Hearing Scheduled With Planning Board to Consider Church St. Solar Project
A joint public hearing with the Village Board and Planning Board is scheduled for Mon., May 21, at 7:30 p.m. to consider the Special Use Application and Site Plan for the Solar PV Project for Warwick Valley BBA, LLC, which is located at 28 Church St.
The Village, as Lead Agency, issued a negative declaration as part of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) review process with regards to the plans for a large-scale roof-mounted solar energy system on the existing building at that location.
It was determined that the solar facility will not have any visual impact nor any “audible, aesthetic, odor, traffic or other adverse environmental impacts.”
Additionally, the Village Board approved a motion to set up an escrow account in the mount of $2,000, in accordance with the Village’s fee schedule, for the purpose of reimbursement for costs and consultant’s fees.
